This is my breakfast,
every day, for 6 years.
I still love it.
It’s time to share..full of sweet mango and spicy ginger this green smoothie heats up your digestion and cools your palette at the same time.
Mornings!
When I first found out all the things I couldn’t eat, my first thought was “What in the %$#% am I going to eat for breakfast?!?!?”
You see, breakfast is my favourite meal. I love all of it, the cereals, the yogurt and granola, eggs, pastries, oatmeal, waffles, pancakes, french toast, eggs, toast, eggs. Yes, yes and yes please!
um……
No. All those things were now off my list. No sugar, no yeast, less grains, no eggs, no dairy, no soy scramble, none of the granolas were safe back then, I didn’t know how to make options.
I had a lot of sadness. Like most people when they are told they can’t have certain foods anymore, they starve for a bit until they figure out what to do.
Blended Food
I was also told at the time that I had digestion issues, so all the food I was eating, I wasn’t getting the nutrients out of it.
Solution, blended food. If it’s already broken down, I might have a better chance at getting the good stuff out of it, but not cooked, like soup. Here is where I found raw foods, this one, blended and eaten in 30 minutes.
Again, lots of smoothie recipes out there with loads of fruit sugars, yogurts and such. I like bananas, but so much sugar and they tend to be a little acidic, so I used plantains for a while. I finally settled on mango, it has vitamin C and I am allergic to oranges, so it was a good solution.
Super Green, lots of green, lots of super…
